The thing that bandcamp seems to lack is the social networking part. I don't think it can replace myspace in that sense, but its a better place to host your music because you can make all your releases streamable, + sell the files digitally if you want to (they do take commission but apparently its less than most other places including itunes). I know this doesn't really matter a whole but i think its neat. You upload a lossless (ie FLAC) copy of your music to them. They convert it to a whole bunch of other formats of varying quality so people can choose the quality they wish to download. You can also set up your files to be downloadable at "name your price" so it can be donation based. I think it has a lot of neat features but won't really take off unless they add some social networking capability. Until then, I wish bands would use it, so you could hear full songs of entire albums before buying. I think it is a better replacement for itunes than myspace. It would be something good to link to your myspace, however.
